Soul Work teaches a person to love his or herself at a soul level. The primary tool used in Soul Work is a mirror, which acts as a portal — a conduit that connects one with the deeper layers of the Self. As is natural when looking into a mirror, the beginning stages of mirror work elicit self-judgement. With Diane’s guidance, a person is gradually able to regard their reflection — and thus themselves — in a loving light. Clients learn to look at themselves, not stare; to see, not judge; to commune, not isolate.

As clients move further through the process, they learn to transform the “critic” to “fair witness. Eventually judgement moves to tolerance, then like and, finally, love. In order for Soul Work to be both safe and effective, the process must be carried out with Diane and the client in the same space.
