Diane Halperin: On Grief & Reconnecting with Her Father

Diane’s father, Yale Halperin, passed away on April 5th, 2003. Three weeks after his transition, she began to miss his voice as well as his wisdom. They were diligent in “showing up” for each other and relating from a place of respect, love, humor, and understanding. After his passing, Diane was determined to find a way to connect with him and further their relationship.

Diane is a therapist who believes in living life on purpose from the soul. Using a mirror as a portal to connect with deeper layers of the self, she guided herself through a process of relating with her soul and learning to love who she saw in the mirror. After Diane connected with herself, she acted as guide through that process with her clients.

After her father’s passing, Diane revisited the magic of the mirror. If she had found a way to connect with herself in the mirror, then perhaps she could find a way to connect with her dad using that same portal.

Sides: Conversations with Dad is a story of their shared journey through love and relationship. Amidst the ups and downs of a father/daughter relationship, Diane follows both her Dad’s and her own beginnings, their life together on earth, and then the relationship continues through their conversations after his passing.
